Tinne de Laet: Learning analytics for online and on-campus education: Experience and research.

Tinne de Laet is an expert in education and the transition from secondary to higher education in particular. She is a practitioner who manages a team of student counsellors and tutors. Tinne has a managing role within the Student Counselling and Tutorial Service, providing her with rst-hand experience on the transition from secondary to higher education. She is chair of the Leuven engineering and science education center (LESEC).

Dr. Mohammed Khalil: Learning analytics potential in understanding student interaction in MOOCs. 

Mohammad Khalil is a Postdoctoral working in the LDE- Center for Education and Learning at Delft University of Technology. His research interests include Learning Analytics, educational data, visualizations and their applications in the elds of Technology Enhanced Learning in general and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in particular. Mohammad has recently got his PhD degree from the Graz University of Technology in Austria. He has over 22 peer-reviewed publications in international conferences and academic journals. Mohammad has served as a co-chair of the European Conference on MOOCs in 2016 and as an organizer of the next EMOOCs2018 conference in Delft.

Dr. Nynke Bos: Opportunities and Challenges in Using Learning Analytics in Learning Design.

Nynke Bos joined ICLON in 2016. Her area of expertise is educational design and evaluation of online/hybrid learning environments. Previously Nynke worked for the University of Amsterdam as a team leader Blended Learning and educational researcher for both the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Humanities. Her expertise lies in quantitative research and advanced statistical techniques.

Dr. Maartje van den Bogaard: Learning Analytics Failathon: we show you the mistakes we (and others) made, so you don’t have to!

Maartje van den Bogaard is an advis- er and researcher in the area of student success. She also gives workshops on education design, active learning and applications of IT in education. Maartje joined ICLON in 2014. Before that, she served as education coordi- nator and lecturer at Delft University of Technology. Maartje was awarded the Outstanding Dissertation Award by the International Society for Educational Planning in October 2015.
